A new book from Scott Johnson, Provocateurs, Practitioners and Prophets: Common Ground in the Visual Arts + Architecture, will be published in 2021 by Balcony Press discussing trends in art and architecture in the Modern and Contemporary eras. Conceptual Art, Minimalism, Abstract Expressionism and Figuration are among the directions which both artists and architects have explored in the recent past. Johnson will discuss his own recent work in the architectural studio at Johnson Fain (American Indian Cultural Center & Museum, Christ Cathedral, Great Wall of China Winery, La Plaza Village, Museum Tower, Wall House) and his mixed-media paintings in the context of this common ground.
